While we were discussing flexible packs of long soap bars, there is a vast scope for packing bath and hotel soaps in flexible films. As such, there are a lot of developments happening in the film industry and handling of soaps for flexible packs is now becoming more and more production-friendly. This has economical aspects also.
Conventional envelope pack requires stiff paper wrapping inside and envelope wrapping outside. The machinery required for such packing occupies lot of floor space and has very critical mechanisms. These mechanisms are very cumbersome to maintain. On the other hand, flow-wrapping the bath soaps in a flexible format requires much less space. These machines involve very less mechanical components and hence are comparatively easy to maintain. Over and above, higher speeds can be achieved.
