Hotel Soaps: Feeding Automation and Packaging

Travel and tourism is on the rise all over the world. This has increased the production volume of many ancillary industries like cutlery, laundry, small hotel soaps, shampoo sachets and many more.

If we consider small hotel soaps, the quantity in numbers is tremendous for handling during the packaging process. Normally the Flow-wrapping is done at the speed of 200 plus packs per minute. At such a speed manual feeding of soaps is better avoided. Usually, automatic feeding in line with the soap tabletting machine is preferred.

Automatic soap feeders in such process consists of usually three conveyors before the Infeed conveyor of the Flow-wrapper. The first conveyor in line just after the soap tabletting machine is the accumulating conveyor. This conveyor collects the soaps head-to-tail, touching each other, which are coming out of the tabletting machine. Thereafter, there is a Transfer conveyor which collects the soaps from the accumulating conveyor and makes the appropriate spacing between the travelling soaps. Then there is a Synchronizing conveyor which creates an accurate spacing between each soap as per the pitch of the infeed conveyor of the Flow-wrapper and transfers the soaps smoothly onto the Infeed conveyor of the Flow-wrapper.

Trefoil Engineering Consultants is a trusted name for such automatic feeders and you can contact them for any of your enquiries.
